Author Richard Lee Byers will be Returning for SwampCon V!

Richard Lee Byers is the author of over forty fantasy and horror novels including Pathfinder Tales: Called to Darkness, Blind God’s Bluff: A Billy Fox Novel, The Reaver: The Sundering Book IV, Black Dogs (first in his new “Black River Irregulars” trilogy), and the “Impostor” series. His novel The Spectral Blaze won Diehard GameFAN’s award for the Best Game-Based Novel of 2011. Richard has also published dozens of short stories, some of which are collected in the eBooks The Q Word and Other Stories and Zombies in Paradise. His first graphic novel, the latest installment in the “Basil & Moebius” series created by Ryan Schifrin, will be out soon. He is also working on new electronic games.

Richard lives in the Tampa Bay area and is a frequent guest at Gen Con, Dragon Con, and Florida SF conventions.

Title Confirmation – “Whosical the Musical: The Game Ends Here”

The official title and synopsis of this year’s Doctor Who musical have been officially released! The musical will be titled “Whosical the Musical: The Game Ends Here.”

Synopsis:

“This year’s Whosical the Musical resolves the jaw-dropping, heart-wrenching cliff hanger that we were left with last year. The Doctor and his companion, Donna, will face off against Moriarty once more while making new friends and meeting a new enemy. This Musical is a drama/comedy show where various genres (superheroes, anime, video games, etc.) come together into one performance. It is an awesome event and something that you don’t want to miss! Allons-y!”

Our final featured cosplay guest, Alyson Tabbitha!

Alyson Tabbitha is a cosplayer, artist, and YouTuber. She started costume making in 2006, and “officially” cosplaying to conventions in 2014.  More recently she started uploading helpful makeup and cosplay related tutorials to her YouTube channel. Whether it’s as a guest, contest judge, or regular attendee, Alyson usually attends and supports local conventions to cosplay and make friends! At the end of the day she is just a girl that really likes to play dress up.

Pikabellechu is returning for SwampCon V!

It’s the one, the only, Pikabellechu! And she’s coming back to SwampCon V as a featured guest!

PikaBelleChu has been cosplaying for over 16 years and has created over 80 costumes to date ranging from original Pokemon inspired gowns to Disney, SciFi and other anime characters. She is most famous for her continuing passion for Pokemon though the years and has appeared at many Pokemon events and tours along with her Pikachu inspired VW Beetle, she has also appeared on several television shows, appeared in several magazines and newspapers around the world, but is most known for gaining a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records in 2008 for having the World’s Largest Pikachu collection with over 20,000 items of the famous electric mouse. When not attending conventions and other events she also does many children’s events and has done a lot of charity work for Make-A Wish foundation through her cosplay as well as teach art classes on how to draw cartoons and make crafts at a craft store and painting murals in her town in homes and businesses.
